Our HealthCare21 family has grown over the past few months due to our ever-continuing expansion. Our Accounts team has seen the addition of three new members to support existing work in long-term therapy areas. Meet our newest members below: Sally, Sara and Yasmin, who have all taken different avenues to begin their med comms careers.
My name is Sally and I joined the HealthCare21 team in December 2018 as a Senior Account Executive. In 2013 I graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Natural Sciences, and since then I’ve had quite a varied career: I’ve had experience working for a protein research tool supplier, a pharmaceutical research software company, NHS operating theatres, as well as a few roles in medical communications. Having worked in different aspects of healthcare and research, I feel I benefit from a ‘bigger-picture’ approach to my thinking in med comms; I also benefit from knowing for sure that this is the industry I want to work in! It’s the only career I know where collaboration and individual ownership are equally valuable, where I get to be creative but also keep medical science at the heart of what I do, and where I am able develop a huge variety of skills. HealthCare21 really stood out for me when researching agencies; I was particularly impressed by their creativity and digital capabilities as well as the family feel. I’m excited to be on board and am proud be part of the HealthCare21 family!
Hi, I’m Sara and I graduated with a degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Sheffield Hallam University. Before starting at HealthCare21 as an Graduate Trainee Account Executive, I worked as Customer Service Manager as part of the land division at a high-throughput environmental lab. I’m excited to combine my degree and experience into my role at here HealthCare21 and everyone has been very welcoming and friendly. In my spare time I like to practise yoga, read and attempt to develop my Lebanese cooking skills.
Hi, my name is Yasmin and I joined the HealthCare21 team in December 2018 as an Account Manager. Prior to that, I studied Business Management and Spanish at Lancaster University, including a placement year in Madrid. When I graduated in 2015, I started my career in medical communications here in the North West and have now been working on the accounts side for just under 3 years. Med comms as an industry is incredibly varied and enables you to develop a wide range of skills. At HealthCare21, the diversity of projects that you have the opportunity to work on, specifically in the digital field, combined with the collaborative company culture and team spirit makes it a really enjoyable place to work! In my spare time I take part in a local choir and also volunteer in first aid at events for the British Red Cross.
