    Strength in numbers

The HC21 team is pleased to welcome two new recruits to our team this quarter: Amy Chatwood has chosen to build on her existing Med Comms account handling experience by joining us as an Account Executive, and Chloë Oakland joins our successful Graduate Training Scheme fresh from completing her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Manchester as our 2017 Trainee Postgraduate Medical Writer.

Amy told us, “I wanted to work for HC21 due to the welcoming atmosphere from the team, the values of the company and the commitment to developing employees within and beyond their current role.” Our shiny Silver Investors for People award must have caught her attention when she visited our offices earlier in the year!

In her spare time, Amy can be found making the most of the Cheshire countryside – walking the local trails with her dog, “It’s a great opportunity to clear your mind of the day-to-day stresses and I enjoy finding new places to explore.” Amy will fit right in as we’re firm believers in promoting employee well-being and fine tuning the work-life balance.

Chloë, a keen runner, beat hundreds of applicants to the finish line in her successful application to join our graduate training scheme. She says she was drawn to HC21 because of, “the company’s clear commitment to making a difference to patient healthcare”. Further, “with the Graduate Training Scheme I will get the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects and learn from colleagues that are highly skilled and passionate about their work. The warm and welcoming environment has made me feel like I’m already part of the team before I’ve even had my first day.”

Chloë loves a challenge – as recognised in her previous ventures as a Soapbox Scientist, blogger and scientific educator – which is a positive trait her new HC21 family also embrace! Her current out-of-work goal is to read all 100 novels on the BBC Big Read list and she only has 23 to go!

“Besides post-graduate pharmaceutical science qualifications and a valuable influx of medical communications experience, our new team members bring additional vigour and enthusiasm to the team.” says Sally Stringer, Scientific Director at HealthCare21. “We are currently recruiting for a variety of positions, so if, like Amy and Chloë you are looking for diversity, in a challenging role within a great team, do get in touch!”
