Temporary Associate Medical Writer

A significant proportion of our work involves working in long-term therapy areas where there is a strong educational need and requirement for the development of expert-led medical and scientific content for a range of technology-rich projects aimed at different healthcare stakeholders.

We are looking for a bright, ambitious, recent life science PhD or MSc graduate to introduce into the fast paced and rewarding world of medical communications. Ideally, we are seeking someone who has studied in an area relating to long-term conditions, such as: cardiovascular disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis or inflammation. The position will initially be for 1 to 2 months, to assist with specific projects involving a high level of desk-based research, with the possibility of extending to a permanent position, which would provide a broad project base with plenty of variety.

The successful candidate will join our vibrant medical writing team and gain key insights into the diverse range of projects covered in medical communications. Many aspects of the job will be new to you, so you should be the kind of person who is enthused by trying new challenges and learning processes.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate some writing experience and be organised, articulate, conscientious and confident in their skills. The ability to quickly acquire and assimilate new information, and to manage your time in response to changing priorities will be key. Excellent research and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
