Senior Medical Writer

A significant proportion of our work involves working in long-term therapy areas where there is a strong educational need and requirement for the development of expert-led medical and scientific content for a range of technology-rich projects aimed at different healthcare stakeholders.

Due to continued growth of the business, we have an excellent opportunity for a Medical Writer who has ambition to take the next step up with a new challenge. As Senior Medical Writer, the main elements of your position will be to mentor a number of writers and undertake a variety of writing and reviewing duties across different therapy areas as part of our main editorial team. Much of the writing will be to develop high quality content for digital educational media in close collaboration with experts in the field.

To be successful in this application you should have:

  • A strong life sciences background (MSc or PhD)
  • 3 years’ solid medical writing experience within the communications or pharmaceutical industry
  • A keen interest in writing
  • A firm understanding of at least one of the following therapy areas:
    • cardio-metabolic
    • infectious diseases
    • oncology
    • haematology
    • immunology
    • neurology

While still wanting to be hands on with writing, this position will naturally lead you into a management position, so a desire to progress in this area should be part of your future career plan. In addition, the position requires a high level of flexibility, attention to detail, self-motivation and organisational skills.

A good salary and benefits package is offered which is commensurate with experience.
